My comments on tutoring Chinese : I am a Chinese native speaker. I majored in English Language Teaching and taught English for over seven years in China. So, I'm an expert in Chinese language and I can use my native language to teach either English or Chinese.

My teaching is learner-centered. For the benefits of my students, I employ a communicative approach with the aids of diverse teaching materials that help students understand the culture and society of the target language so that students can use the target language more effectively. My goal is to foster and create an open, supportive, and success-oriented classroom environment that each student feels safe and appropriately challenged and then can be self-motivated and engaged into their language learning.

I have always felt the need and want to help others, whether educationally or socially. As an immigrant who had to learn a new educational system, language, and lifestyle, I know first-hand how difficult a true and successful learning process can be.
