I love to incorporate art and sensory experiences into everything I do to really activate the brain. The "Drill and Kill" is very rarely appropriate, so I tailor every approach individually. What works for one student may not work with another. My formal training includes many intervention types and experience with multiple programs and curricula, so I have a large pool from which to draw...then we get creative! My style REALLY aims for those over-arching foundational skills like critical thinking, thought organization, and problem solving. As a current college student working towards my degree in fine art and also having my own private tutor in art growing up, I believe I have gained the skills and understanding of art to pass on my knowledge and expertise to others that I may teach I have worked with children for more than 5 years, ranging from private in-home nanny, to a director of a summer camp program.
