I have been a camp counselor, a high school and college teacher, a GED teacher for the Federal Bureau of prisons, and a life-long tutor and trainer. I was an administrator for the remainder of my career, serving at the high school level, middle schoollevel, elementary level, and central office level. My last four years were as a system-wide language arts and reading curriculum supervisor in which I worked with students, parents, teachers and other administrators.
The key to good teaching is determining the skills of each student, individualizing an instructional program to improve on those skills, and monitoring progress to improve the student's knowledge base.

I began tutoring as an undergrad student working for the college's academic support office tutoring math and science courses. After graduating cum laude with a BA in Mathematics, BS in Meteorology, Physics minor, and Secondary Education certification, I went straight into teaching. For the next 8 years I was a jr high and high school math and science teacher. I taught Physics, earth Science, Physical Science, General Science, and math classes ranging from 7th grade basic math up through trigonometry. Last year I returned to school to earn a masters degree in Applied Statistics from Cornell University.
