I believe all adults and children are different and various teaching styles work for some, while not others. I teach and show by example and like to give people practice while they are learning, while being available for any questions they have
I have worked with children and families within the social work field. I have facilitated training classes for adults as well as went to school with children to help them with their school work. I've tutored them with homework, while working for Seven Counties Consulting Services, as well as privately tutored children. I love to work with children and like seeing them succeed

More About This Tutor...

When I substitute for a teacher, I want to see a lesson plan. I do not want to be the classroom babysitter. If there is no plan for the day I involve the students in making one. I'm currently working on obtaining my teaching certificate, to go along with my bachelors degree in Social Science. Hopefully, I will be able to go on to receive my Masters in Education. I have been able to tutor students in reading, sentence structure, English and American history.
I love teaching and interacting with today's young kids. They fascinate me. Every child has different learning systems and sometimes it takes several tries to reach that special spot that opens the child's eyes to what excites them about learning. The thrill that I feel when that point is found and theirs, (And my, excitement,)grows. There is no feeling in the world like that!
