My comments on tutoring Psychology : Studied Psychology at Ashford University for three years, before leaving Ashford to pursue my own interests in Psychology and Writing skills.

I go with the styles that fit the student. I generally use the first couple of visits to assess what works best for the student and then work with the student in a calm and patient yet firm manner. I do not try to force results, every student learns differently and has different aptitudes. Therefore, it wiser not to push the student too hard for results, rather I push myself to find new and inventive ways to help students learn the material.
Took three years of college courses on Psychology at Ashford University, trained with a Computer Troubleshooting Specialist for four years, have two books of my own written word poetry published. I like to make my classes fun and game like. I use different methods for remembering such as how to apply photographic memory as well as music and lyrics. I also like the use or repetition in order to memorize. I like to give weekly tests on the subjects studied and implementing the reward system. You do well on the test, you get a reward. It's important to understand individual interests and how each student approaches problems because everyone is different. For example, creating analogies is an impetus to learning. To get a better idea of how I approach this style of teaching, I wrote an article: "Education for the Young Mind: The Science Behind Pogo Sticking."
