As an Chemical Engineering graduate and a current Masters of Business Administration student, I have been exposed to a variety of diverse materials. Chemical Engineering gave me a wide range of skills in the math and science fields. It also built an immense toolset to approach a wide variety of problems. In May of 2010, I successfully completed my fourth year of teaching. Each year has been different. The children of today learn in many different ways. There has been a change in learning styles over the course of time. Some children may learn through hands on activities and modeling, while others learn through lecture. I retired from a technical/executive career in the chemical industry. My last position was as VP of Operations and Innovation. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering, some graduate studies in applied math and in a Tennessee Teacher Education Program. I taught high school Chemistry and Anatomy/Physiology. I also tutored math, physics and biology. I have tutored ACT prep courses. I have completed several teaching workshops and own multiple probe ware measuring tools that I employ as needed. I have tutored teachers to prepare them for Praxis exams. I have passed the Chemistry and PLT Praxis exams. I have worked with at risk middle and high school students for many years.
