I have also interned at the middle school level in high school to teach young children the wonders of history. I helped to tutor college students struggle to make the grade at the introductory history level. I have extensive knowledge in american history, specifically the civil war time period, as well as latin american history.
I believe the best aproach to teaching is by finding an area of interest and building off that interest. History can be brought to life through movies, music, literature and other materials to make it come to life.

A Little Bit About Me...

I try to make things as fun as possible, and I try to help the student understand by putting the subject in a way that suits their interests. I like to joke around with the students, because it puts them at ease, and it develops a relationship with them that is hard to come by. Without that relationship, the teaching is harder, and the learning is harder. I still get the curriculum across, but in a way that the student understands.
I have taught all levels of high school English and all types of academic achievement within those levels. I am currently a middle school teacher.
