Teaching can be a most wonderful adventure. I believe every child can learn. At times students or overwhelming with new concepts, and they need to be encouraged, and praise until they can accomplish the task at hand. I enjoy seeing the appearence of awareness on a childs face, when they have accomplished a goal, or solved a problem they had difficulty solving. I believe tutoring a child can be a powerful tool, and it can also unleash a potential genius.
As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level. Although, I tutor in all of the academic areas, I also enjoy helping my student appreciate the art of becoming a good writer, and thinkers. As an engineer and mathematician I have experience in all areas of Aerospace engineering,including management and mentoring of engineers over much of my 44 year career at Lockheed Martin. I have also tutored math, phyics, and other related subjects.
My approach to teaching math and science is to thoroughly prepare a student by first emphasizing the fundamentals. Too many students get "lost" if advanced concepts are taught too soon. Then, once a student is ready, the studies should emphasize the students strengths and interests to the utmost possible.
