I tutored before but of course I wasn't paid for it because it was at my old elementary school. I helped children from ages 8-13 which I was only 11 or 12 at the time. I maybe young to tutor children and maybe I should wait until I'm 18 but, I love helping children with their homework and watch them accomplish the subject.

I have over 25+ years in all areas of Accounting. I am passionate about math, accounting, finance, and education. In both undergraduate and graduate work. My jobs within the Accounting field have been roles which required leading and educating. Currently, a great deal of my time at work involves teaching others to gain the skills necessary for resolving accounting issues. I have both a Bachelors as well as a Masters degree from the University of Arkansas which I completed while I was in the military stationed at Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Ark. My degrees are in Business Administration and Management. My work experience has been mainly in Accounting and Finance. I've managed million dollar budgets, produced various financial reports and completed financial analysis. I was a personal financial management counselor for the US Air Force and enjoyed helping others with personal finance issues (Debt, savings, taxes, etc). My teaching style varies depending on the needs of my clients. Typically when I tutor more than one student at a time, I like to give frequent assessments (verbal or written). These "quizzes" aren't to punish the students; I use them to assess the needs of the students and the strengths and weaknesses of my teaching methods. The results allow me to adjust my style accordingly and focus on the areas in which the students need the most help.
My interest in mathematics is what originally fueled my desire to pursue an accounting degree. My work ethic and study skills are what have allowed me to earn both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in this field. My greatest strengths, however, are writing and composition, which is why I minored in English. I've tutored in English, math, and accounting (jr high, high school, & college-level) for the past 8 years.
