A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style varies depending on the age and needs of the students.
I have my Bachelor Degree in History, and I am also a certified substitute teacher. I have several years experience as a child care provider and tutor. I am currently tutoring English as a Second Language, Elementary Math, General Homework help for middle schoolers, and Elementary French. I love to tutor all ages from elementary school students to high school students, and I vary my tutoring techniques depending on the age and needs of my students.

After earning my doctorate in math in 1966, I began teaching at the University of Massachusetts as an assistant professor of math. I was promoted to associate professor in 1972, and continued there until 1977. In 1977 I moved to South Bend to join a Christian community there. I taught part-time at Notre Dame, St. Mary's and IUSB. In 1981 my community started Trinity School, and I taught there from 1981 until I retired in 2007. In 2008 I decided to do missionary work with a group in Indianapolis, and did some tutoring at IUPUI. Last Feb. we moved to Evansville. Last summer I tutored at Ivy Tech .
I work hard at leading students to figure things out for themselves. But if they get too frustrated, I will spell things out more in detail.
