A Little Bit About Me...

I love to learn and everyone learns differently. I believe that if the information is not being understood one way, then we need to find another way to instruct. Hands-on learning and learning through experience always leaves a lasting impression. Just memorizing facts, although in some cases that is necessary, it is just not fun for all students and just may not stick unless learned in a fun way. I want to make learning fun because no one should ever stop learning. There is just too much out there to sit back and let life pass you by.
I attended a preparatory school in Junior High and High School. I then went on to Mississippi College where I obtained a Bachelor degree in Home Economics with an emphysis on Fashion Merchandising. I enjoy working with students of all levels. I have a patient easy going nature and feel the only dumb question is the one not asked. My goals are to enable the student to not only master the subject matter but to incorporate that knowledge and be able to relate it to other disciplines. I always taught a section in the classroom on how to study effectively. I feel that if you make the difference in one student’s life then your career was a success. My career was successful many times over.
Due to my changing Majors as a junior, I received a Bachelors Degree with a double major, Biology and Education. My Minor was in English. I was pleasantly surprised when my Certificate in Oklahoma qualified me to teach seventeen fields.
