I love teaching and engaging with people of all ages. Everyone learns in a different way, and it is kind of exciting to see how people think and try to connect with them. I believe that it is possible for anyone to learn; some people just have to take a different approach to get to their objective. I love the entire learning and teaching process, and I am pretty fond of people as well!

I have taught in the elementary and middle school system for 12 years. My experience includes teaching at many grade levels, including online instruction for elementary students. I have taught inclusion classes and EIP classes, which allowed me to raise the scores of students in those classes tremendously. I used testing data to guide the instruction of students in these classes. In 2009, 90% of my third grade students mastered standards on all portions of the Georgia Criterion Referenced Competency Test. In 2010 91% of my fifth grade EIP Reading/ LA class mastered standards on the Georgia Criterion Referenced Competency Test, with 50% coming in at the beginning of the year on second or third grade level.
