I am a college graduate seeking employment. I graduated from Herkimer County Community College and SUNYIT in Utica. During that time I spent 3 years tutoring several levels of mathematics and intro to financial accounting for HCCC for 3 years. I went from a student tutor to a part-time tutor in my time there receiving a CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certificate for my work and a great amount of experience in that time. It was possibly the most enjoyable experience of my college career.
I was taught to teach by "Socratic Method" which is possibly the best way to teach/tutor. From 1993-2000 I was a part time adjunct professor at Utica College. I found that I had a great passion for teaching. I enjoyed the interaction with students of all ages. I taught all ascpects of accounting, from elementary accounting ( Accounting 1) to masters level accounting. I would gladly welcome the opportunity to teach again.
I believe that each student has a unique way of learning and I try to adapt my teaching to the class. My philosophy is that what we learn in class has to be reinforced with the homework. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved numbers and they are my passion. As a student at FMCC I was able to pursue my goal and assist others along the way. I tutored mainly math at FMCC for about 1.5 years while still attending school, but also tutored in a variety of subjects ranging from english to science to business to accounting. I currently am tutoring a friend with an accounting class. I took math, science, and english classes in which I recieved high grades in all.

I enjoy tutoring enough to do it for free, which I have done for my friends from time to time. I’m a friendly laid back person who loves to learn and help others learn, particularly in a one on one setting.
