I have experience with teaching having completed three semesters of internships through my undergraduate and graduate programs; I taught Kindergarten, First and Seventh grades. In said roles, I was given full control of the classroom by my mentoring supervisors. The most important element of achieving success in school is self confidence. The way I help build that in children is by being extremely positive, supportive, and full of praise. I observe their behavior carefully to make sure they truly understand what they are being taught. When something is challenging to a child, I try different methods until I know it “clicked”.
