I have a Bachelors in English from Dominican University. I began A Plus Master Tutoring Center over 4 years ago and was teaching in my home. Now we have expanded to a center in Oak Park and we tutor all ages, from Pre-K to adults. Our subjects range from phonics to algebra. Our teaching styles vary from a 3:1 ratio, which would include up to three students and one tutor, or a 1:1 ratio which would be a private session with a student and a tutor. Session prices range from $25-$27 depending on the type of session. We pride ourselves in being an affordable tutoring center compared with the prices of Huntington and Sylvan learning centers. My comments on tutoring American History : Can try to make American History come alive. If you can read you can learn history and geography. Apply reading skills across the curriculum to help students understand the subject

In terms of my work experience I have done Response to Intervention (RtI) in which I would plan, implement and analyze reading and writing interventions as a means to get those struggling students at grade level or beyond. I have also substitute taught all subjects at all grade levels in various districts.
