I teach in a discussion style; A one-on-one lecture format. I have found that this, in concert with working examples, is a good way for students to learn. However, I understand that many people learn in different ways, and I am willing to accommodate.
I am a graduate accounting student at NIU, emphasizing in the study of taxation. My undergraduate accounting degree is also from NIU. I am currently studying for the CPA exam. I have no teaching experience therefore I have no teaching style. If I were a teacher I would teach the kids the information, have a question session and then review the information in a game type format. I have two kids and I understand how kids can sometimes struggle in school. I love to simplify the subjects to them. I also work on self confidence issues. A lot of kids struggle because the lack of confidence. I work closely with kids and make them feel comfortable so they can response better. I believe in repetitions.
