I believe learning is a two-way process. It needs to start with a student who has a true desire to learn and then, of course, the teacher needs to have a true desire to bring about the learning. A successful combination will result in mastering of concepts and development of skills as opposed to simply reciting facts. During that time, I have taught bookkeeping to new employees, credit and collection work, working with Dun & Bradstreet, how to determine credit worth, reconciliations and problem solving. I care very deeply about the success of each of my students. My degree in Math did not come easily and I had to work very hard.
