My style is to teach a concept during the one on one session with me. I then give them homework to reinforce the learning on personal time. In the following meeting I revise what we learnt in previous session to ensure they understood before proceeding to next topic. After having both tutored and taught in the classroom, I find tutoring to be more enjoyable. Since each student learns in a different way it is much easier to teach them one-on-one than a whole classroom full. I’ve always enjoyed watching their faces light up when they figure out a problem for the first time.
