If you are not willing to learn the material, I cannot help you. I will ask questions about your personal learning preferences before we begin(auditory, visual, hands-on, etc.). Lesson-planning will be made according to how you want to learn whether or not it is reinforcement or new material.
I have had a lot of past experience when it comes to tutoring. I have tutored many people of various ages from children all the way to college students, relatively. I have completed a MAST (Mathematics as Strategic Teaching) Seminar. I have completed training over engaging difficult students and I have also learned more innovative techniques in which to use when engaging students who are trying to achieve more challenging skills. I designed a program called Math Mates, which was an after school intervention program for students who needed more hands on time for learning, I opened the program up for all students but set aside certain days when specific students were invited so we could use more hands on manipulative and we worked on the different content standards.

A Little Bit About Me...

When I first attended Wilmington College, I was in early childhood education. I completed a whole semester of student teaching and volunteered for tutoring after school. I finally had decided that teaching was not for me because I wanted more of an office setting job so i decided to major in business management. I have decided that I want to pursue in subsitute teaching so that I am able to help children and spend more time with my newborn.
Nothing is better than seeing a huge smile on a child's face once they cath on to something. I love helping children learn by doing a lot of visual activities and practicing! I was always the only person who could help my younger sister study for tests because she said my teaching techinique is very helpful and makes her remember things.
