Nothing is better than seeing a huge smile on a child's face once they cath on to something. I love helping children learn by doing a lot of visual activities and practicing! I was always the only person who could help my younger sister study for tests because she said my teaching techinique is very helpful and makes her remember things. It always made me feel good knowing i was the only one who could help her study!
When I first attended Wilmington College, I was in early childhood education. I completed a whole semester of student teaching and volunteered for tutoring after school. I finally had decided that teaching was not for me because I wanted more of an office setting job so i decided to major in business management. I have decided that I want to pursue in subsitute teaching so that I am able to help children and spend more time with my newborn.

I enjoy teaching and working with students of all ages. I believe that all students have the ability to create master pieces in art if they put forth the time and effort and have the right encouragement. I have seen too many times that students may feel that they can't draw or that they aren't creative. I received an honors degree from Fairborn High School and Wright State University. Education has always been very important to me. While attending WSU for fine arts, I was reminded of my passion for teaching and decided to also acquire my art education certification. During my education program, I was placed in Xenia High School. I was also selected by the art education advisor as one of four students to take part in an innovative teaching class where I learned how to use art and music to teach science and math. I have been a tutor in a GED class and also I was a Teachers Assisntant For the city school district of Albany,NY. I worked one on one and in a self contained special education class with 6th,7th and 8th grade students.
By myself being a person who has a GED and went to Job Corps. My teaching style is related to my background as overcoming all types of odd's in order to succeed.
