A Little Bit About Me...

As an Education major graduate I am driven to challenge and reinforce students in order to obtain a high level of performance. In college I achieved a triple minor in English, Psychology and Science. I did this with the intent that strong content knowledge will greatly affect student achievement along with excellent teaching strategies. The majority of my teaching experience occurred when I was in college. I was studying to be a social worker and worked part-time in the library. I also worked as a Sociology Teacher's Assistant and tutored other college students in the core science class. In Zimbabwe, I spent a summer teaching Bible class, tutoring special needs children in all subjects, coaching a girls field hockey team, and running a weekly youth program called AWANA. In PA, I tutored elementary school students in reading and math in an inner-city after school program. I hope to tutor elementary school students in reading, math, or other basic subjects.
