I have experience tutoring individuals with ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, and those who simply do not understand the work. My comments on tutoring Study Skills : The strategy of seeing how what is being studied can be applied is a great way to learn.

I like students to understand how the material they are learning can and is being applied to everyday situations. So I often will talk about the big topics that have been covered explain why they are useful and then show the student how to perform various calculations or apply the nessecary logic to solve problems.

During high school I mainly tutored my neighbor's young children in elementary subjects. In college I helped fellow classmates in my major and minor.
