During my junior and senior year in college, I TA’ed a finance class called options pricing for two semesters. Options pricing was a difficult subject. I worked very hard to receive an A- for the course, which turned out to be my favor. I had insight to the intellectual hurdles other students had to overcome to master the material. I try to analyze not only how they perceive math, but I also look at some of their previous work to deduce what mistakes they are making and (more importantly) if they are making the same mistakes over and over.
