Experienced violin instructor for students ages 3 - adult!

April began playing the violin at the age of three and piano at the age of nine. She holds a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University in violin performance and is also a proficient pianist. While at Wake Forest, April was concertmaster of the university symphony and has also performed with the Western Piedmont Symphony, Salisbury Symphony, and Winston-Salem Symphony. April recently completed her master's degree at Appalachian State University. April performs in wedding ceremonies, receptions, and events with Deans' Duets.
Suzuki method Traditional method Methods include note reading and playing by ear. Optional services include learning improv, hymn-playing, & fiddle music.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching violin for over 10 years. I teach all ages (starting from 4), and I am very passionate about it. I currently teach at Cannon School in Concord, NC once a week, but I also have taught throughout Charlotte and Mooresville areas, Louisiana, and Brazil (where I'm originally from). I am now residing in Boone, NC but I continue to travel to teach on a weekly basis.
I usually start my students with the Suzuki method. Some younger children I add a few others before they can fully move on with Suzuki. I follow the american school of Mr. Ivan Galamian, who was one of the most influential violin teachers of the Twentieth Century.
