French is one of my top subjects! I've spent a total of 3 months abroad in France, and I spent time studying French in Brussels, Belgium in the Fall of 2013.

I have completed 4 years of the French language at Charleroi High School, and I have also studied abroad in Brussels, Belgium. I will begin my studies in the French language at the University of Pittsburgh in the Fall of 2014. I have spent 3+ months abroad in France/Belgium, and I have acquired fluency in the French language and I have also obtained a near native accent. Also, I have tutored many of my contemporaries in French and other subjects as well. I have been recognized by my high school French teacher for my accomplishments and advancements in the language over the years.

If a student is unable to understand my explanation of a word in French, I often switch to English so that he/she can understand. As a French teacher, I love speaking the language to my students wherever I meet them after the regular classes. I am always willing to help my students wherever they meet me. They are free to ask me questions on the subject. Learning does not end in the classroom.

French was my favorite subject in school and it definitely is my passion. I now use French daily in my career but when I first started taking it in high school, I had no idea how far it would take me. I would very much like to impart the wisdom and skills that I have learned to other students and help them achieve their goals. I'm a very patient and easy going teacher but I believe in having a good vocabulary and grammar skills, mixed with conversational skills. Finding the courage to speak French can be daunting, and the only way to overcome that is to practice; something that does not happen often in a 50 minute classroom setting.
