I have eleven years of experience in educating children in kindergarten to twelfth grade students with special needs who are diagnosed with a number of physical, mental and emotional disabilities. I also am responsible for keeping records on students' progress, dealing with problem behaviors and serving as a source of information and support in the regular classroom. In May of 2010, I successfully completed my fourth year of teaching. Each year has been different. The children of today learn in many different ways. There has been a change in learning styles over the course of time. Some children may learn through hands on activities and modeling, while others learn through lecture.
