I lived in Russia for two years where I was surrounded by native speakers and acquired a native level accent in speaking. Following my two year time in Russian I got a bachelors degree in Russian Language and Literature. Since completing my degree my wife and I speak Russian at home with our children, who are bilingual.
I am effective in two teaching styles. The first is by speaking Russian 100% as a way to teach it. The second is by teaching grammar, vocabulary, etc. in a text book style format.

I have lived in Russia for the past two years doing service. My duties included interacting daily with Russian people, maintaining discussions on a wide variety of subjects, and offering translation/interpretation services to those who did not know Russian or knew little. Taught others Russian and studied each day for an hour. I have a high proficiency and knowledge of both grammar and vocab.
Preferred teaching style is one on one. Depending on skill level of student, we would strive to speak as much in Russian during the time allotted. Immersion is the best way to help someone grow in the language.

In 2013 I went on a 2 year LDS mission to what was then the Russia, Vladivostok mission. For those two years I lived in Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude, Russia which is in Southern Siberia and then lived in Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, and Ussuryisk, Russia which are cities on the Eastern coast of Russia. I lived for a total of 6 months with native Russians and only spoke Russian for those 6 months which really helped me to master the language. When I got home in 2015, I took high level Russian classes at Utah State University and received a minor in Russian. I still keep in touch with friends in Russia and talk to them frequently so I don't forget.

Some pupils are very hardworking.They always do what they are asked to do.Some would bring dictionaries to school.So ,whenever , there are new vocabulary, they would refer to their dictionaries but the funniest thing is that these pupils do not know how to choose the best meanings to the words they found. They don't know whether it is a noun,adjective or verb.And some of them would take any meanings as long as there is a meaning to it. Russian is Awesome!!

Very flexible, determined based on student. I am very relaxed and patient.
I lived in Russia for 2 years from 2004 to 2006. I talked with native Russian people all day every day, and studied grammar daily on my own. I returned to Russia in 2008 to teach English for a month in Russian elementary schools and took Russian language courses at Liden and Denz institute in St. Petersburg.
