Summer Math Tutor

I have tutored on a college level up to Calculus II in my campus tutoring center. I have completed two National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates in math and biology. In addition, my minor is education and I have completed two courses, which require me to teach a math lesson to children in elementary school. I received great reviews from my teacher. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I took algebra I when i was in the 8th grade and made advanced top 5 of my class 93 average.

I’ve had many years of practice in the tutoring field dealing with the fact that my brother has a learning disability. He likes to have fun and thinks that leaning is boring, so I try to make learning as fun as possible. Then I have my student on student tutoring when the students tutor each other. I think its better that way because most students don't really pay attention to their teachers but they take it better when it comes from another student. Sometimes its better because something you understand they may not understand and when you explain it to them then may be they will understand it a little better. Basically what im saying is that some kids learn better from other kids.
I prefer to have a fun learning environment. I think you learn from hearing, seeing, and doing.

My comments on tutoring Algebra : Math, Math, makes me laugh, but Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally becasue she dosn't find it funny seeing as how i use her to to solve most of my equations.

In 2009 I was selected by my Engineering Teacher to tutor his afternoon tutoring class because he had another class to teach and could'nt be in two places at the same time. I was chosen because of how proficient i was in mathematics, my ability to go and find it if I did'nt know, my willingness to help others, and because I withheld a GPA of 4.0.
I am very versatile when it comes to teaching. I am a person that understands everyone does not learn the same way or at the same pace, so therefore, I am very patient and full of many methods that will help them along their journey with MATH.
