I really enjoy teaching the writing process.I love working with all children, and I firmly believe that all children can learn to become great writers when they find out what the discipline expects of them. I am very patient and considerate of childrens needs; as some are hands on learners, some are visual learners, some need a scaffolding approach to writing, or simply need to know organizational approaches to writing...so I attempt to meet the student where they are in the learning process and provide them the nurturing approach, and healthy environment. I have obtained a BS in Management-Health Care/HR and 5 Associate degrees in Business Administration, Administrative Office Technology, Medical Office Technology, Legal Secretary, and College Transfer. I have been homeschooling my son since 2006 and mentoring students through a local church for just as long. In addition, I tutored in 1990-1991 and 1994-1997 while in college to earn extra money. I have assisted students with Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, and Mental Health issues. I have published my own poetry and have written a novel which I will publish soon.
