A Little Bit About Me...

I have had a passion for education since I was a third grade student. I always thought I wanted to be a teacher "when I grew up." I earned a BA in psychology and started a Master's program in elementary education. Due to personal circumstances, however, I was not able to complete the program. I then taught early childhood and continued to volunteer in schools. I now work in the education department at Bradley University. I miss teaching greatly and have a deep passion for working with children. I took Spanish up through he intermediate level in college; I feel confident in my ability to teach/tutor the basic foundations of the Spanish Language.

As a college student, I understand the importance of learning and experiencing new things daily. I am earning my BS in Business Administration and have gained an understanding in many areas of computer technology, arithmetic, English, and science. I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. I feel this works in group studies also, but, the difference being is that all the student will be involved in a group discussion.
