My students are introduced to the elements of poetry, poetry appreciation, various genres of poetry and their impact on readers. They are also given the tools of critical analysis, research, and written response. I have over 30 years teaching experience in Communication Studies, English Language, English Literature and the Art of Public Speaking/Debating. For many years I have taught SAT, ACT,and SSAT to high school students and ESL to adult learners. Teaching has been conducted on a one-on-one, group and class setting.
