As a graduate from UNC Charlotte, I earned a BS degree in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry. I have strong grammatical and organizational skills from writing lab reports, the ability to express logic from writing proofs, and a strong knowledge of how to study effectively. As a tutor and through organized training sessions, I have learned how to deal with many different situations, including students with a learning disability and non-traditional students. First, I substituted and then taught part-time, two to four subjects a year: Advanced Math and Drama, 5 years; Biology, 1 year; and Advanced Drama, 3 years. When my son started seventh grade, I began homeschooling.
