I am a current Honors Student at Eastern Kentucky University, studying both Spanish and the Visual Arts. I am in my seventh year of Spanish language and cultural studies, and have had many opportunities to improve my language skills through my courses of study, translating for Spanish-speakers, and immersing myself in the Hispanic community. Depends on the student. I'm very adaptable. To say I am or am not alone thing here would be to exclude those who don't like that style.
I've had years of experience due to my love of English. I'd help my friends and underclassmen to understand a novel or get ideas to write a paper. I'd check their grammar and spelling, and offer advice about the overall style of the paper. Now, I'm studying to become a college professor of English and perhaps French. I'm willing to work with students at middle school and high school age who need help either writing or understanding English or grammar, or need help with an assigned book that they can't understand (ergo, Shakespeare).

I enjoy helping others understand statistical concepts as well as how they can be applied. I think it is important to have a great deal of patience when teaching and to always make it fun when possible. Also, I find it useful to remember that I was once learning statistics and remember the great skill of my professors and how integrative and exciting they made the process.
