LESSONS SHOULD ACCOMMODATE STUDENT LEARNING STYLES

My belief is that all students have different learning styles. Therefore lessons need to be individualized to meet student needs. In order to be successful students need to be engaged by creative teachers. My teaching experience has taught me to accommodate these needs when developing lesson plans.

A Little Bit About Me...

I feel it is important to understand what is different and unique about every student. Not all students will learn in the same way, nor will they find their desire to learn in the same way. If I am tutoring a young person I contact the teacher so that I can find out what areas the student needs review in. Many times the teacher will give me the resources and materials to use. Also, I like to use the guide books for each grade that are sold in stationary areas of most stores. For tutoring in reading I've found the Leapfrog Reading Program is very helpful. I like to meet my students at the library so that I can use the resources found in the library, including the computer.
