A Little Bit About Me...

I tutor based on the individual's learning needs. I have encountered some that were visual learners ad everything had to be drawn/written out. I have also tutored students that can have me explain it and they grasp it easily. My teaching style changes according to the needs of the student because not every one learns the same. I do believe Accounting is a complex field and the student has to have an interest in the field to truly be successful in retaining what they are taught.
While earning my Masters in Accounting, I voluntarily tutored Undergrad students that were earning their Associates or Bachelors in Accounting. The students were enrolled in the local community college (Central Carolina Tech) as well as the University of South Carolina. Over the past few months I have been involved with substitute teaching in Richland School District 2. Since being involved I have gotten very much involved in every aspect of teaching. I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from West Virginia University. I also played football in college and was active in tutoring fellow players. My course load was heavy in chemistry, physics, biology, and biochemistry. I have also taken the MCATs in preparation for medical school and scored a 36 (98th percentile), so I am also qualified to assist students in MCAT preparation.
