I worked at Elohim Center tutoring the kids at an after school homework center in Hartsville, SC. I also worked at Hartsville School of Performing Arts for a short time period. However I provided assistance to the teachers and mentored the children that had potential, but didn't have the extra push in life to motivate them to be more. As someone who loves languages I have studied English, French, Portuguese and Italian. I am always curious about the varieties of languages. During my practicum in Colombia I taught English to students of electricity. I also taught to young adults at Eafit University in my country. In Naples I was an Esol teacher for a couple of months as well as a tutor in English.

Most of my professional teaching experience was with Lexington/Richland School District 5, where I substituted and taught General Music from 1997-2008. During that time I worked with students from Pre-K - 5th grade, and I enjoyed interacting with each age group. One interesting thing about teaching music was how the lessons often carried over to other subjects, so that in music class we also worked with math and science (music theory), reading (song lyrics), and social studies (music origins and styles).
