I studied Math because I love the subject. I have received a BA and am pursuing my Masters. During the last ten years I have taught math classes to middle school students as well as college students. I have also work as a private tutor throughout this time as well. I can tutor all levels of math up to undergraduate college courses. I like teaching and tutoring math. I strive to make connections to real life by using real specimens when possible, familiar situations, manipulatives, current events, and such to facilitate comprehension. I found from tutoring college students having difficulties with complex concepts such as protein synthesis, DNA replication, photosynthesis, and meiosis, that for all students, “hands on” can be a very helpful, and ultimately a more efficacious and expedient, way to teach.
