I also utilize "foldables" as study aids and on occasion oral testing. I have found that some students are more successful in comphrension hearing questions rather than reading questions. I fit my teaching style to the student's learning style. I try to follow the model of my physics advisor, who has an excellent ability to figure out how a student learns best, then adapt his teaching and explanations accordingly.
