During my four years at Notre Dame, I majored in mathematics and gained alot of experience in various areas of math. In addition, Notre Dame requires everyone to take a broad range of subjects for general credit and so I have learned skills in writing and grammar through work on several research papers. In my spare time, I tutored elementary age kids with homework and this last summer, I spent five weeks teaching primary school math in Uganda. I consider teaching as the most noble work a person can do. Both my parents are teachers since 1970s and I carried that gene. In my opinion, teaching is a partnership between the instructor and the student. Feeding the curiosity of the students can help them get passionate about the subject and try to find answers. Such style helped me explain hard subjects such as cryptography to non-computer students.
