When I was a freshman in college, I knew that my future was in my hands. I befriended and contacted my chemistry professor and zoology advisor. I worked in both of their labs, and I was only a freshman! By studying in their research groups, I gained the experience necessary to intern at Sea Life Park Hawaii. In fact, I was published in 2007 after working for Dr. Charlie Cox in the Chemistry Department. Recognizing the need for more hands-on research experience, I found another opportunity with another professor in cellular biology. I am patient and knowledgeable in the subjects that I tutor. In over two years of experience I never received a single complaint from a student. In fact, most of my students have praised my ability to cover subjects in great technical detail as well as simplifying complex subjects into very understandable terms. I carefully analyze whether the student has a technical or terminological issue with a subject before beginning my explanations.
