I got my first teaching experience as a lab instructor for undergraduate physics labs and fell in love with the profession. Upon entering college in 1998, I had already taken Calculus while most other students were typically taking Algebra. This presented a good opportunity, but it is one thing is to know the material well and it is another thing to know how to teach.
