My comments on tutoring Statistics : We have both online and Austin area in-home tutors for math. Each has either a science degree that involved math up to Calculus or higher, or a math Degree. Some are also Certified Math teachers too. Call us to ask about the exact teacher in your area and their skills specifically. If we do not have one, we can provide one within a reasonable time. Each Certified teacher has the ability and skills to individualize the teaching style, based on the child's learning style. For the non-reading adults I started by teaching them letter recognition and basic sounds; moved on to simple words; then sentances. During my college class I would review the evening's lesson and goals, then have the students perform the exercise in the textbooks. Throughout my undergraduate years, I was recognized as an outstanding student and held the maximum number of teaching assistant positions every semester. I often met students in the library to hold tutoring groups, and I handed out my phone number in case someone needed my help anytime. I am currently working on my teachers certification, and my long term goal is to teach high school science.
