A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very hands on learner so I like to get students actively involved in their learning. However, I understand that some people like taking notes and are more of a visual learner. I am very capable of approaching tutoring in this manner if that is what the student prefers.
I am a junior at Rollins College studying marine biology. I have many years of experience in the sciences with my main focus on biology/marine biology. I took AP Biology in high school and have spent the past three years furthering my education in marine biology. I am also proficient at Spanish. I have a friendly teaching style; I use a lot of sense of humor. But, this takes a lot of hard work to achieve. The reason I am able to teach French grammar in a non-intimidating, almost very relaxing way, is because I had to master it. I have a way of getting closer to my students and to their difficulties by having the ability to relate almost every chapter I introduce to my personal experiences. And, I have anecdotes almost about any new topic I present. I am a story teller in that sense. Sometime my students beg me to tell them more anecdotes.
