Children love to learn and feel a sense of accomplishment and self-worth when they are successful. I greatly enjoy helping children learn. Each child has the capacity to learn and it is the teachers job to present the material in a manner which is conductive to the child’s understanding. Providing tools to help each student comprehend the material is essential. Many students are helped with additional reading strategies, or using a math manipulative to make an abstract concept understandable, or a graphic organizer to help understand new content material. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent 2006 graduate from College Misericordia where I student taught third, fourth and fifth grade learning support and regular education in a first grade classroom. I then worked in the Pine Grove School district where I taught students with varying exceptionalities including: learning disabled, mental retardation, emotional disturbance, and other health impairments. I taught the academic areas of Reading, English and Math. I just recently finished up my Masters program in Classroom Technology and I am currently an Itinerant Special Education Teacher in a vocational school.
