A Little Bit About Me...

Hi! My name is Morgan Pitman and I am senior at Anderson University majoring in Elementary Education. I also have a certification in learning disabilities and have had previous experience tutoring various grade levels (especially 5th grade math and 1st grade reading). I have also spent a significant amount of time observing and assisting in elementary classrooms (grades 1-5). Different children learn in different ways. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners and some are kinesthetic learners. I like teaching in whatever way best connects with the student.

As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board.
