I find that each person has a different learing style and try to find out what works for them. I also teach them that organization of thoughts and ideas are helpful in how they approach learning. I use to travel to their houses in the less fortunate parts of my country and teach the children about the bible; the children that did not have the opportunity to go to church or church schools. I take a more hands on approach to teaching as I know that everyone learns in different ways. I believe in language acquisition as compared to simple memorization of words and grammar. I like to bring my own cultural knowledge into instruction as well. I believe anyone can learn Spanish. It is a very useful and relevant skill.
