I graduated in December 2014 from Iowa State University with a Civil Engineering degree- 3.5 GPA honor student. Before Iowa State I went to the University of Iowa for two years to play basketball. Prior to that I went to Des Moines Christian High School. I am currently working in Des Moines. I have a passion for teaching and have tutoring experience in college. Math and science are my strengths. I can help with about any math and science up to organic chemistry (I was pre-med my first few years of college). Motivated to help struggling students find love of learning

I have over 15 semesters of college courses most in the sciences. I find math and science to come easy to me if I am taught it in the right way and I would love to share that with struggling students out there. I have had experience in big and small schools, accelerated programs as well as normal classrooms so I have been exposed to a variety of learning environments.
I love to teach and coach and think it is important to understand that everyone learns and grasps concepts in different ways. I do not have a specific teaching style other than positive because each child requires their own approach.

Between 1991 and 2002, I held a Teaching Assistant, Instructor, and then Assistant Professor position. I assisted and instructed undergraduate and graduate students in classroom and laboratory settings, revised curriculum and graduation requirements for the students, and created materials for lectures, seminars and final exams in Genetics.
