While working with an adult native Spanish speaker to improve her English was certainly rewarding, my desire has always been to work with children or adolescents, as I feel that they are more amenable to an educational program and have a greater learning capacity when given the proper opportunities. My teaching style is one of constant progression, in which the student's strengths and weaknesses are weighed and an appropriate lesson plan formed based on his/her abilities. This lesson plan can be subject to change based upon rapid progression or extended difficulties in a subject, and I also take into account each student’s distinct learning style. During college, I changed my major several times, taking numerous classes for each one to determine what I wanted to do with my life. I experimented with Political Science for two years, in which I took classes in criminology, speech, and history. My next year of college was spent in English and Writing, where I focused on the obvious, as well as classes in psychology. The last few years of my college experience, where I ended up graduating with a Bachelor’s in Finance, were based around all of the science and math classes that Ohio Dominican University had to offer. I have also worked in multiple management positions where I was responsible for interviewing and training countless employees.
