I am a graduate of Macomb Mathematics Science Technology Center (MMSTC). This is a magnet program reserved for the top 72 high school students(per grade level)in Macomb County. Throughout high school I tutored my friend and neighbor, Mike, who suffers from a learning disability. I received a B.S. in Fishery and Wildlife Management (ecology, biology, and general management) from Michigan State University in 2006. I worked two years in recycling after college. I have recently worked with the big rivers biologist for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Many people have different teaching skills and techniques. I do not believe any technique to educate a child is better than any other technique. Each child learns differently. Understanding the fact that children learn differently is crucial. The teacher must be able to adapt to the child's learning style.
