What I have garnered from directing theatre is that everyone learns at their own pace, and I utilize that when I teach and coach as well. What I aim to do is create a trusting atmosphere, and employ a positive and nurturing demeanor. I also stress the importance of being focused and prepared, not just with specific subject matter, but in all phases of life, too. A Little Bit About Me...

I received a BA in General Business from WSU, and was honored as a Cum Laude graduate. The courses were varied and included a wide array of math application, from supply and demand curves to interest rate calculations. My classmates gave me the nickname "Webster" because I was frequently asked to edit their papers and to tutor them in several different subjects. I love working with teenagers, and watching their faces change when they really GET a concept for the first time!
I believe students will rise to the level of expectations set for them. I am a bit of a comedian, and I use humor to allay frustration in learning situations. I believe in setting goals and charting a specific path for reaching them, while being flexible enough to alter the path along the way. Praise and positive reinforcement are powerful tools when teaching challenging material, and I use them frequently.

A Little Bit About Me...

The most enjoyable and satisfying part of installing new Accounting systems in businesses was the opportunity to teach the accounting staff how to generate timely and accurate financial statements. Internal controls was an important component of each new introduction. I am patient with demanding staff and officers during the implementation process and afterward, during phone support calls.
